The Hotel Job Redesign Initiative aims to encourage hoteliers to review, optimise and value-add to existing jobs, which will allow them to become manpower lean while creating quality, meaningful careers for their employees.
The Initiative, which is a tripartite collaboration between WSG and STB, NTUC Hospitality and Consumer Business Cluster (NTUC HCBC), the Food Drinks and Allied Workers (FDAWU) and the Attractions, Resorts and Entertainment Union (AREU), as well as the Singapore Hotel Association (SHA), represents a key milestone in the overall transformation journey of the hotel sector.

Hotels can engage third-party consultancy services with funding support under the Support for Job Redesign under Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG-JR).

Job Redesign Reskilling (JRR) Programme for Hotel Industry provides funding support for hotels to train existing workers for redesigned job roles. Aligned to the shift towards contactless experience/interactions and crowd management, supportable job redesign projects are to be enabled by technology implementation
